Chaim, good to hear from you. Hope business is strong.

Unfortunately, PipelineDeals is great at pre-sales deal tracking. Once a project moves from contract to actual engagement, it does fall a little short for managing project tasks.

You could set up a series of action items that would be associated w/ that "deal." The options include: Milestone, To Do, Call, Email, Appointment and Fax.

PipelineDeals.com also allows you to set up "To Do Templates" with pre-arranged tasks if your project tasks can be template-ized.

But it's not a full blown project management tool like MS Project, AceProject or even Basecamp, so little things like assigning a task to someone else isn't available; neither is time tracking or Gannt Charts. For me as an independent, Pipeline works well and covers most of the bases--though not all.

You may also want to look at Highrise (from 37signals, the same makers of Basecamp). It's better at tracking all of the conversations & tasks related to a contact, but not so great at tracking revenue opportunities and funnel management.
